My name is Dr Nasim Bahadorani. I’m a lifestyle health behavior specialist and public health researcher. I develop and implement wellness programs for medical practices and provide wellness consultation for groups. All programs are evidence-based and entail health education, health promotion activities, and health and wellness coaching.

My doctorate is in public health with a focus in health education and health promotion from Loma Linda University, School of Public Health. I am a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and a Certified Health Education Specialist. I have a master's degree in biomedical sciences so I have a unique expertise in understanding pathways of disease. Given my education and experience in public health, I know the strategic models and interventions to prevent disease and to promote health.

I serve on the Executive Leadership Committee of the American Public Health Association’s section for Integrative Complementary Traditional Health Practices. I am the co-chair of the Education and Practice Committee, and the Committee for the APHA Convention Wellness Center. I also serve on the Steering Committee of Healthy UC Davis, which aims to make the University of California, Davis the healthiest campus in the nation.

My research studies have been an integrative intervention for stress reduction of a significantly distressed population, which have been accepted for oral presentations at national and international professional health conferences such as the American Public Health Association, the International Congress of Behavioral Medicine, the International Qualitative Health Research Conference, the American Psychology Association, and the World Congress of Psychotherapy at UNESCO in Paris.

I served as an adjunct lecturer at California State University, Northridge teaching public health courses in adolescent health, biostatistics, human health behavior theories, and program planning and evaluation in the Health Sciences Department.

My wellness programs incorporate health and wellness coaching, because I want to focus on “bridging the gap” between orthodox healthcare within organizational systems and behavioral change, or rather lifestyle medicine. My approach is integrative, whole-person approaches to disease prevention, and health promotion. I am very passionate about promoting health and wellbeing.
