Lifestyle health behavior changes can increase longevity and improve quality of life.  Effective programs empower patients to manage disease status, adhere to medication, follow through with health care practitioners, and live their optimal health with higher life satisfaction and lower psychological distress. Our wellness programs are not a substitute for proper medical care and medication. Rather, wellness and lifestyle health behavior changes compliment allopathic care.

We provide personalized program to address diagnosis, symptoms, and general wellness goals. We’ll explore diet, sleep, and movement to identify recommended changes, and help patients develop new habits to make sustainable progress. We’ll build and follow an action plan to guide people along their health and wellness journey.

Every component of our lifestyle medicine programs is founded upon evidence-based practices. We provide expert guidance on life changes towards wellbeing, curating the most impactful ways for sustainable health, energy and contentment in achieving an optimal quality of life.

 Lifestyle Medicine: According to the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the use of lifestyle interventions in the treatment and management of disease, including diet, exercise, stress management, smoking cessation, and a variety of other non-drug modalities. A growing body of scientific evidence has demonstrated that lifestyle intervention is an essential component in the treatment of chronic disease that can be as effective as medication, but without the risks and unwanted side-effects. 

We offer individual and group sessions in all our services to improve health and empower your patients with disease prevention programs. Programs can be tailored to the individual needs of the patient to help create behavioral change to improve functioning, quality of life, and restore wellness. We help patients learn skills and gain confidence to implement effective lifestyle changes and make a positive impact toward their optimal health.

    Stress Management Program

Certain amounts of stress can be good. But when stress triggers negative psychological response or is prolonged, it can negatively affect health. Stress factors cannot be removed from life, but our reactions to the stimuli can be managed. Stress levels must be managed otherwise may lead to poor sleep quality, low energy, headaches, upset stomach, chest pain, frequent colds and infections, hopelessness, depression, anxiety, high risk of substance abuse and even suicide ideation.  

It is important to recover from accumulated stress to protect mental and physical health. Learning to manage stress can improve health outcomes. My programs and methods that assists in effectively managing stress in healthy ways.

The is focus is not just pounds, but also measures in blood pressure, waist-circumference, and body mass index. We explore healthy programs and work to remove barriers to your patients’ success.

Many chronic illnesses can be either caused by or exacerbated by lifestyle. Lifestyle habits, physical health, and mental health go hand in hand. 

Lifestyle improvement could successfully improve health outcomes and the course of the illness. I work with your patients in discovering ways of coping with health challenges to achieve sustainable significant results in health and overall wellbeing. While I do not provide treatment, I offer health & wellness coaching, health education, and serve as a resource to support the efforts of your health care towards your patients. As an expert in behavior change, my work is focused on lasting improvements. Helping people change behaviors and reduce health risks, is an essential part of any wise treatment program for most, if not all chronic medical conditions. 

Including my program as part of a combined treatment plan, our wellness program can boost your patients’ mood, help them cope with negative emotions, and reduce stress while improving their physical health. If you are a psychiatrist or therapist, we can work with you to personalize wellness programs to address your patients’ mental health concerns.

What is a Health and Wellness Coach?

Certified Health and Wellness Coaches are professionals from diverse backgrounds and education who work with individuals and groups in a client-centered process to facilitate and empower the client to achieve self-determined goals related to health and wellness. It is important to note that coaching is not therapy. Successful coaching takes place when coaches apply clearly defined knowledge and skills so that clients mobilize internal strengths and external resources for sustainable change. 

Health and wellness coaching can help lifestyle medicine evolve a whole new layer of care, which supports treatment team and the efforts health care practitioners. Health and wellness coaching goes beyond disease management approaches which focus on sound medical management of disease through medical compliance and great case management. Health and wellness coaching integrates the lifestyle prescription into the picture and helps with behavioral compliance.

Through authentic health coaching, we will build a trusting and meaningful coaching relationship. You can share your thoughts, feelings, and intuitions that will be heard with compassion, empathy, and care.

Because of my rigorous education and training, I can provide wellness coaching and health coaching services via numerous behavioral change models including those based in the following: motivational interviewing, positive framing, Prochaska’s transtheoretical model of change, self-efficacy and more.

    Health Promotion and Health Education Services

Health promotion positively influences the health behavior of individuals and communities as well as the living and working conditions that influence health. Health promotion improves the health status of individuals, families, communities, states, and the nation. 

Health education is any combination of learning experiences designed to help individuals and communities improve their health, by increasing knowledge or influencing attitudes. It provides an opportunity to acquire information and the skills needed to make quality health decisions. As a health care provider, you may not have the time to sit with your patients and provide health education around their pre-existing conditions or risk factors. Allow us to provide this opportunity to educate your patients.  

Certified Health Education Specialist is a health professional who has passed the national credentialing exam and is certified to work within the field of public health to help others achieve their maximum health and wellness through educational programs and guidance. Our work is focused to improve or maintain health by engaging in behaviors that promote optimal health. We develop personalized evidence-based programs aimed at bringing information on exercise, nutrition, and disease prevention to those who need it. As certified health education specialists, we:

  • Provide implementation and assessment of health education programs
  • Coordination and outreach 
  • Provide initial health assessments
  • Motivate initial behavior change
  • Communicate/liaise with primary care physicians, hospitals and other health care providers
  • Plan for health education interventions
